Update: "This is my first time and I promise not to repeat it.” –Kwaw Kese

Musician, Kwaw Kese, who is in prison custody for a drug related offence, has called on his fans and industry colleagues to remain calm as he sees through his two weeks remand term ahead of the next court date.

In a hearty conversation with producer Hammer of the Last two (who together with Sarkodie visited him yesterday), he asked for calm, adding he has been made aware of the ongoing campaign on social media pushing for his release.

“It is well… i am okay,” Hammer quotes him as saying. “I want all my fans to keep calm…God is control. I have been told of the campaign going on online for my release; i appreciate it.”

A distance relative of Kwaw Kese, who visited the said artist who is currently in police custody, has also confessed that Kwaw has regretted what he did that took him to cells and promises never to repeat same act.

Kwaw Kese who is believed to be headstrong and mulish, has turned himself into an elder suspect man and an opinion leader in cell – advising inmates never to repeat whatever took them there. Not only is he advising others, but himself – said “I will never repeat what I did that brought me here. This is my first time and I promise not to repeat it.”

Emmanuel Botchwey popularly known in Ghana’s showbiz circles as Kwaw Kese or Abodam was arrested around 1:30am, Saturday at a wine shop close to plus Two Pub at Nhyiaseo, a suburb of Kumasi, publicly smoking cannabis.

The self-styled King of the Streets was put before court and formally charged with using narcotic drug without lawful authority.
